Album: Lovely Sunrise

“Lovely Sunrise” represents the coming of a new dawn for Nā Wai ‘Ehā. In this album, Nā Wai ʻEhā features beautiful mele of Maui and honors the musical gem uncle Sam Ako of Lahaina, Maui. In the past year, with the help and guidance of Zachary Lum, Nā Wai ʻEhā has been blessed with the opportunity to sit down with Uncle Sam and learn ten Maui classics arranged in the four-part harmony style for which uncle Sam has been known for since his music career with the famous band of his time called the Paradise Seranaders.

Album: Nā Wai ʻEhā

Nā Wai `Ehā are two sets of brothers; all experienced musicians and accomplished hula practitioners. Each have a rich and solid foundation in the Hawaiian culture and language and continue to build upon them. They speak our `ōlelo makuahine and are blessed with the gift of haku mele. Through their poetry, they humbly acknowledge and honor their `ohana and `āina.  Each mele is an expression of aloha – a window to the deepest recesses of their pu`uwai. Together, Nā Wai `Ehā’s music is magical; there is sweetness to their harmony and mana in their deliverance.
